APIC has introduced a semi mechanized ‘Spinning Device’ which is targeted to improve the fineness of the spun fiber while at the same time reduce and replace the tedious and lengthy process of the traditional method. The spinning device will be used for nettle weaving clusters in Shingkhar Lauri, Samdrupjongkhar, Drupkhang Gonpa & Lemi in Tashigang and cotton weaving in Thongsa, Pemagatshel.
A demonstration on the locally developed device was held on 18th November, 2016 at 3 PM in RSPN Conference hall, Kawajangsa. The device was inspected by Honorable Prime Minister accompanied by Minister MoAF.
